How Rwanda’s Liberation Day was celebrated in Uganda
The Rwandan Community in Uganda, friends of Rwanda, and members of the Diplomatic Corps in Uganda on July 7 joined the Rwandan High Commissioner in Uganda, Joseph Rutabana, at his residence in Kololo, Kampala, to celebrate the 29th anniversary of Rwanda’s liberation.
Under the theme, together we prosper, the evening was full of joy as Rwandans and friends of Rwanda mused over the past, how far they have come, and how much has been achieved under the visionary leadership of President Paul Kagame.
The celebrations also marked the end of the 100-day period of commemorating the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda when the RPA rebel army stopped the genocide and liberated the country from the bad regime that had caused turmoil. Read
